Early detection and timely intervention are critical in providing effective critical care. For severely ill patients, secure monitoring is essential to comprehensively assess various patient conditions. Leveraging Nihon Kohden’s unique technology, we transform the invisible into visible data on monitors and seamlessly integrate this data using our advanced transport concept. When combined with Nihon Kohden ventilators and defibrillators, we can provide efficient monitoring and treatment in critical care settings.
The patient data collected through monitoring is distributed and seamlessly integrated across necessary locations and hospital systems, following a common protocol. This streamlined approach ensures efficient management of patient data, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Seamless Patient Monitoring during Transport

Nihon Kohden's Lifescope PT is a versatile transport monitor that ensures high-quality care during patient transport, irrespective of the patient's condition or location. It can function independently or as part of an enterprise monitoring system. When linked to a Nihon Kohden bedside monitor, it serves as an input device and a transport monitor. For transport, the Life Scope is detached from the bedside monitor, providing full monitoring capabilities. Upon reaching the new care setting and reconnecting to a host monitor, patient data, including full disclosure, arrhythmia recall files, trends, and ST data, are automatically uploaded to the enterprise monitoring system, creating a seamless patient record.

The Pulse Oximeter, invented by Dr. Takuo Aoyagi in 1972, non-invasively monitors oxygen levels in the bloodstream. BluPro, a pulse oximetry technology, incorporates the NPi algorithm for unique filtering to eliminate artifacts. This ensures reliable and accurate measurements even in low perfusion or during motion, thereby enhancing patient monitoring.

Nihon Kohden's cap-ONE is a mainstream CO2 sensor designed for both intubated and non-intubated patients. It offers accurate measurements while reducing the burden on patients. This technology overcomes the disadvantages of mainstream sensors, providing optimal capnography. It's particularly beneficial in critical care settings, where continuous and accurate CO2 monitoring is essential.

Adding esCCO to conventional patient monitoring may lead to optimization of fluid management, decreased risk of complications and eventually to better outcomes including reduced length of stay. esCCO provides cardiac output information only using common vital sign parameters of ECG, SpO2 and blood pressure, requiring no additional sensors or special training. Hemodynamic trend monitoring will be available with esCCO for all care levels, not only during major surgeries but also in lower-risk procedures for high-risk patients showing a higher chance of bleeding or any hemodynamic stress.

The synECi18 technology uses standard 12-lead ECG waveforms to mathematically derive additional waveforms, providing more information about the heart's condition. It is particularly useful in detecting right-side and posterior infarctions, enhancing the diagnostic capabilities of ECG machines

Nihon Kohden’s iNIBP (intelligent Non-Invasive Blood Pressure) technology offers continuous and accurate blood pressure monitoring. It is a non-invasive blood pressure measurement technology that uses a linear inflation measurement method to complete the measurement while inflating the cuff. This reduces patient discomfort and provides faster results, improving patient experience and clinical efficiency.
