Nihon Kohden Europe, in close collaboration with its trusted partner LHL First Aid, has taken a major step forward in promoting community safety by installing 60 new cardiolife AED-3100 defibrillators across Oslo’s outdoor sports parks. This initiative brings the total number of Nihon Kohden AEDs installed in municipal sports facilities to 140 devices – 80 placed indoors and 60 outdoors – significantly improving emergency response readiness across the city.
The cardiolife AED-3100 defibrillator is known for its high reliability and intuitive operation, designed to be easily used by anyone, even without prior training. By ensuring the accessibility of life-saving technology in both indoor and outdoor sports facilities, Nihon Kohden and LHL are empowering Oslo’s communities to respond rapidly and effectively in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.
Dré Quirijns, the responsible Manager at Nihon Kohden Europe, emphasizes the importance of the project: “Our team is committed to provide high quality solutions, that meets our Japanese standards. We are working closely together with our partner LHL in Norway, who understands perfectly well the community requirements: if you install an AED, it should fit all types of patients, either young or adult persons, it should be a super reliable product and it should bring a good economic balance between those requirements. Therefore, we are proud of being the provider for this Sports Park project in Oslo, like we do in many other European sports facilities as well.”
This installation illustrates a broader mission to improve public access to defibrillators and enhance emergency preparedness in Norway. Together, LHL and Nihon Kohden Europe are making strides in their shared mission: saving lives with the best available medical technology.
