Since the beginning of our partnership with EintrachtTech GmbH in 2023, Nihon Kohden has been committed to strengthening cardiac safety across the Eintracht Frankfurt environment. What started with the successful implementation of a comprehensive AED network at Deutsche Bank Park has evolved into a broader initiative focused on protecting athletes, employees, visitors, and fans across multiple facilities.
Building on the achievements of previous years, the 2025/26 season marked another important milestone in our shared journey.
Together with EintrachtTech, we further extended the reach of the cardiac safety concept by equipping additional Eintracht Frankfurt facilities with smart cardiolife AEDs.
Key developments included:
• A Growing Safety Infrastructure: With a total of 26 AEDs now in operation, Eintracht Frankfurt continues to strengthen its emergency preparedness. All device locations are clearly marked and easily accessible, ensuring rapid response when every second counts.
• Extending Safety Across the Entire Eintracht Community: By expanding the network beyond the main stadium, the initiative now provides enhanced protection across a broader range of sporting, administrative, and community environments, supporting the wellbeing of athletes, employees, visitors, and fans alike.
A key differentiator of Nihon Kohden's cardiolife AED solution is its intelligent monitoring capability, cardiolife connect.
Devices deployed throughout the Eintracht Frankfurt ecosystem perform regular self-tests and are continuously monitored through our cardiolife connect technology. This proactive approach helps ensure that every device remains ready for use whenever needed.
The system provides ongoing visibility into device status and operational readiness, supporting a high level of reliability and helping responsible teams manage their AED infrastructure efficiently.
By implementing AED technology across all these facilities, EintrachtTech and Eintracht Frankfurt are already meeting prerequisites that will become a legal requirement for newly installed defibrillators in near future.
The integration of continuous remote monitoring reflects a forward-looking commitment to safety, operational reliability, and technological innovation. Through the early adoption of intelligent AED management, EintrachtTech further demonstrates its dedication to IOT driven solutions, creating safer environments for everyone who visits, works, or trains within its facilities.
The partnership between EintrachtTech and Nihon Kohden continues to grow stronger. Following the successful expansion during the 2025/26 season, additional Eintracht Frankfurt locations are planned to be equipped with smart AED technology throughout the 2026/27 season.
Together, we remain committed to advancing cardiac safety through innovation, preparedness, and shared responsibility. Every new installation strengthens a growing network of protection and reinforces our common goal: creating safer environments where people can enjoy sports, work, and community activities with greater peace of mind.
As our collaboration continues, we look forward to setting new benchmarks for cardiac safety, demonstrating once again how technology and partnership can help save lives.
