Vital Signs Monitor

Smarter Workflow for Better Outcomes

Improving patient safety

Vital sign parameters are an essential part of monitoring a patient’s health status. Being able to measure blood oxygenation, non-invasive blood pressure, temperature quickly and record them effortlessly into the patient record is key to efficient patient care. The Spot Check Monitor SVM-7100 Series is designed to address these needs, helping healthcare practitioners save time and increase efficiency in measuring, documenting, and integrating vital signs parameters to patient medical records at the touch of a button.

Efficient

  • Features a seamless two-touch, wireless send-to-EMR function, so you can spend less time charting and more time with patients.

  • Offers a streamlined bar code-reading functionality to ensure the right information goes to the right patient chart every time.

  • Allows for vital signs monitoring of multiple patients and easy movement from room to room.

  • Increases the speed and comfort of blood pressure measurement with inflation-based non-invasive blood pressure (iNIBP), which automatically detects diastolic and systolic pressure while the cuff is inflating.

Intuitive

  • Designed for ease of use, with a bright high-resolution display, visual/audible alarm indications, and programmable quick-access keys.
  • Easy and efficient handling of the device supported by a cable management tool.
  • Includes on-screen animated quick tutorials for user assistance and minimal in-service training.

Versatile

  • Provides an option for customizable early warning scoring that enables the identification of at-risk patients by combining vital signs data with observational information.

  • Allows for tailored product configuration, including the selection of factory-configured SpO2and temperature measurement technology, to meet user preference.

  • Converts easily to continuous vital signs monitoring mode* for at-risk patients, and when connected, allows for easy viewing of vitals within the Nihon Kohden Patient Monitoring System.

Fast and gentle NIBP measurement

iNIBP

iNIBP is Nihon Kohden’s unique algorithm used to measure NIBP during inflation. It provides a fast and gentle measurement of NIBP. Even if a patient’s blood pressure is significantly higher, iNIBP still provides a fast measurement of NIBP.

*iNIBP (Inflate Mode)

You can set the Inflate Mode ON or OFF. The default setting is ON. Measurement mode automatically switches to deflation method when measurement fails during inflation. With Neonate, Infant and Child cuff (2 to 7cm), deflation mode is more likely to be used because these inflation bags are too small to be used with the Inflate mode. In such case, recommend to set the Inflate Mode to OFF, so that the measurement is performed only with the deflation mode.

Scoring for early intervention

It may be difficult to quickly catch deterioration of the patient's vital signs, especially in a situation where a large number of patients have to be cared for by limited staff. MEWS (Modified Early Warning Score) determines the degree of illness of a patient and helps you to react to deterioration in the patient's clinical status quickly.

Continuous monitoring

For the patient you would like to monitor carefully, you can switch the mode from spot check to continuous. In continuous mode, you can continuously monitor the patient from the nurse station using a central monitor. The review function helps you to check the trend of the patient's condition and decide on the next step.
